Robert Davi was born on June 26, 1953, in Queens, NY, to Sal and Mary Davi. His first stage appearance came in the 4th grade in a school production of George Washington Slept Here. After winning several statewide opera competitions, he debuted at only 19 years of age at the Long Island Lyric Opera in Garden City, NY. Later he attended master vocal classes in Florence, Italy with the renowned baritone Tito Gobbi.
Eventually Robert found his way across the country and settled in Los Angeles. In 1978, his career got a boost when he was cast in a leading role opposite Frank Sinatra in the NBC movie "Contact on Cherry Street".
After the movie was completed, Davi remained in LA and appeared in the miniseries "From Here to Eternity", while racking up credits in such films as "Goonies", "Raw Deal", and "Die Hard". One of his best-known roles was in 1989, as James Bond villain Franz Sanchez in "James Bond: Licence to Kill".
In the 1990s, Davi´s feature films included "Predator II", "Cops and Robbersons", "Son of the Pink Panther", "Christopher Columbus: The Discovery", and many more.
His presence on the big screen allowed for a flawless transition to television. Robert's TV credits include such series as "L.A. Law", "Hill Street Blues", "Wiseguy", "Charlie´s Angels" and more.
In 1996 Robert was cast as FBI Agent Bailey Malone in the NBC prime time series "Profiler." While the majority of roles throughout Robert's career have been those of villains, the role of Bailey Malone gave Davi the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a profiler in the FBI, who identifies a criminal based on his or her personality traits.
The experiences and knowledge Robert gained from this role opened his eyes to the victimization occurring in a completely different world - cyberspace.
As a father of five, he saw that not only his children, but all children who use the Internet were at risk.
He wanted to do something about it.
In 1998, Robert stepped up and became the National Spokesperson for i-SAFE. His involvement with i-SAFE includes a wide variety of activities. Robert has filmed Public Service Announcements (PSA), he is a regular contributor to i-SAFE's monthly national newsletter, The i-SAFE Times, and he has made several public appearances on behalf of i-SAFE.
