Project Safe Childhood and i-SAFE working to make a difference!
Internet crime is a newer, but rapidly growing, area of unlawful activity. All too often, the subject receives public attention only
after victimization, particularly when it involves our kids and teens. That is why Project Safe Childhood is intended to assist prosecution
and law-enforcement officials across the country in proactively protecting their constituents from the nature and threats unique to the
Internet with Internet safety education and youth empowerment.
Project Safe Childhood and i-SAFE will work together:
to advocate to members of statewide leadership on the need for Internet safety education and the i-SAFE solution
to equip law enforcement with critical Internet safety information and materials so it can educate communities, aid in
crime prevention, and ultimately, keep youth and families safe
The Project Safe Childhood Tool Kit presents a standardized means to prepare parents, students, educators, community members, and public
officials to join one of the most important initiatives of our time -- Internet safety for youth.
To get started, we ask that you:
Advocate to members of statewide leadership in your region on the need for Internet safety education and the i-SAFE solution,
including writing letters of support to the governor, secretary of education, attorney general, U.S. senators, and Congressional
delegation (We have included sample letters in the Project Safe Childhood Tool Kit.)
Recruit other members to work in a collaborative effort from the following offices/agencies/positions: Governor, State Attorney
General, Police Chiefs, Commissioners or School Superintendents, Congressional members, Law Enforcement Officers, Community Leaders, Computer
Forensics Experts, etc.
Coordinate activities at your level to facilitate the growth of the i-SAFE program within the jurisdictional districts.
Advocate for and/or conduct classroom instruction, i-PARENT Programs, community leaders meetings, student assemblies, and professional-development
programs within your states/counties/districts.
Operation i-SHIELD is a program that allows you to join a Task Force and partner with i-SAFE in its mission to educate, protect, and empower the citizens within
your communities. Through i-SAFE's Operation i-SHIELD Task Force, all members, including prosecutors and law enforcement who protect their own citizens, have
the ability to collaborate and work together in a concerted effort to create safer communities. i-SAFE provides program resources and professional materials to
these agencies for free so they can enhance crime prevention by conducting community education and awareness campaigns. To see what Task Forces are in your state,
click "Task Force Members" under "i-SHIELD" to the left. If you're new to i-SAFE, create an account to join
an i-SHIELD Task Force. Existing users: Log in, and click "Update Account Information" to join a Task Force.
i-SAFE provides program resources for Project Safe Childhood's Community Outreach and Educational Program initiatives. These programs are designed to
assist you in informing and educating the citizens of your community. U.S. Attorneys and local, state, and federal law enforcement can join a cooperative,
dynamic team of people committed to proactively protecting its constituents from the dangers of the Internet through education and empowerment.

As a vital part of Project Safe Childhood, i-SAFE will provide you with a "Project Safe Childhood Virtual Toolkit." This toolkit allows you to take the
steps necessary to impact your local community with "measurable results" -- an online depot for US Attorneys to create their own Internet safety community-outreach
campaign utilizing i-SAFE program assets. To request a copy of your toolkit from i-SAFE please fill out this form:
